Next week its A4U Expo in London. A4U Expo is probably one of the best organized events in Europe, if not in the world. The Expo is organized by Matthew Wood and his team. The event is special, amongst other things because it brings together affiliates and search marketers. This unique combination is a guarantee for learning a lot.

I am going to be one of the speakers at A4U London this year. In the session "You want to Tweet What!? – Social Media, Twitter and Affiliate Marketing" I’ll be speaking about brand building by using social media. In the past year Searchcowboys has gone from virtually unknown to a very well known brand in the industry. I’ll be telling how I did this using social media. With that I’ll try to ‘learn’ the audience how they could be doing their brand building via social media. It’s gonna be a very interesting session!

Last week I visited PICNIC. Some keynotes were way out and did not get close to what the ‘normal guy’ is doing on the web. Others are usefull if you, like me, want to ‘explain’ to people what’s going on. Charles Leadbeater’s presentation did both. Leadbeater wrote a book and he also made a short film. People around him said the film told the entire story in a simple way. Be the judge yourself:

It’s been quit on this blog the last couple of weeks. That is because I’ve been very busy. Off course with my job but also with making this blog better and with writing for Dutch Cowboys. Also this is the event-season. I’m visiting a lot of events. Last week I was at E-Day, this week I’m at PICNIC. As usual I will be reporting these on Dutch Cowboys.

This also means I will be getting a lot of information I can use in my job and also here on this blog. So when I get back I will have lots to write about. So stay tuned, we’ll be right back!!!

Last year I visited AdTech London. It were a couple of nice days where I learned a lot about Internet Marketing stuff and got to know some nice people. This year the organizers want me to come back and visit AdTech again. So they keep on sending me e-mails. And to be honest, if I weren’t going to PICNIC I think I would go to London.

Today I received another e-mail from the organisation. It immediately got my attention because of the title: "Are you a marketing cow?". Of course, being a blogger on Dutch Cowboys, this got my attention.

It turned out it was a little quiz to find out what my ‘IQ on Internet Marketing’ is. 15 questions about hot items concerning Internet Marketing, combined with questions about knowledge of specific subjects.
