Next week doing something new at A4U!

Posted June 2nd, 2011 in Events by Bas van den Beld

A few weeks ago I spent the entire week in the UK doing several talks (I still have to put my presentations online, will do that soon!). I was then at the conferences SMX, ISS and SASCON (check State of Search for the coverage there!). Next week I’ll again be taking the plane, over to Germany this time. To be more specific: Munich. I will go to A4U Expo Europe which, like last year, is held in the Hilton Munich Park Hotel. Last year I was one of the speakers there, but unlike then and unlike last week I won’t be speaking this year. That is because I am doing something else.

This year at A4U we from State of Search are trying out something “new”. At A4U Munich there is, as always, an Expo Hall in which sponsors can exhibit and people can network. Looking over that Expo Hall there will be a special booth in which I will be talking to people about A4U Expo, what their experiences are, but also what is keeping them busy in their day-to-day business. Off course we will also be getting speakers to talk about what they have been telling the audience on stage. For the duration of the conference we will be doing this in several ‘sessions’. This will all be live streamed on State of Search. Continue Reading »

A short plug for the International Search Summit

Posted June 28th, 2010 in Interview, speaking, Video by Bas van den Beld

I was fortunate to be invited twice to speak at the International Search Summit in London. This conference, organized by Webcertain, the company of Andy Atkins Kruger, is a small conference, but one which is very nice, partly because its not that big. You really get good information from different international speakers and you can really learn something there. At the last one in London I (with some others) was shortly asked about the conference. An opinion I was happy to give, you can find it below in the video. This is one conference I will come back if they ask me. And then off course I hope to see you there ;) .

I got interviewed (in Dutch ;) ) on the future of Search

Posted April 21st, 2010 in Interview by Bas van den Beld

A couple of weeks ago I spoke at the B2B Marketing Forum on the changes we are seeing with the SERPS and how we should act on it. The subject was all about the future, where are the search engines going. After that session I got interviewed by a Dutch people search engine, 123 people. You can find the interview below. They also wrote out the entire interview here. The interview is in Dutch so if you want to understand it and are not Dutch, here’s te version which is translated using Google Translate (which has its usual quality so you are warned…).

A one minute interview at SES

Posted February 27th, 2010 in Interview by Bas van den Beld

At Search Engine Strategies I shortly met up again with Murray Newlands, a not only very smart guy and good affiliate marketing and social media blogger, but also a very nice guy. He did a ‘one minute interview’ with me, sort of like a pitch. He asked me what I was doing blogging-wise. Here’s my answer:

Thanks Murray!

We Won! And I got interviewed!

Posted October 17th, 2009 in searchcowboys by Bas van den Beld

Searchcowboys most helpful blog according to Searchfeature.comSometimes its good that you monitor what is being written about you. That way for example I found out that Searchfeature.com, a website I didn’t know beforehand, was doing a poll on which blog was the most helpful when it comes to search. We were nominated. And guess what, in a list with, amongst others, Searchengineland, SEO Chicks and Searchenginewatch, we won!

Now I don’t know how many visitors actually go to Searchfeature.com, but still, if its only a few, it still is an honor to be winning a contest like this, especially since the votes come from readers.

So we won, what did that give me? Well, except for the honor, they also interviewed me! So you can now read a big interview with me over at Searchfeature.com. Be sure to read it and tell me what you think of the interview!
