Unique series of search interviews on DC

Posted June 6th, 2008 in search by Bas van den Beld

Search interviews op Dutch CowboysYesterday we started a unique series on Dutch Cowboys . It is a series of interviews with key people from the search industry. The interviews will be posted as podcasts, text or video. Because it is a list with some impressive (search) names a unique file will get compiled.

It is an initiative of Joost de Valk (OnetoMarket), Eduard Blacquière (Outrider) and myself. Together we have the contacts, the knowledge and the questions and we can make the interviews a success.

In the coming months interviews with Kevin Ryan (organiser SES), Dennis Mortensen (Indextools), Danny Sullivan (SearchEngineLand) and Matt Cutts (Google) will be posted. They will inform us about their vision for the searchmarkt.

The series has been kicked off with Kevin Ryan who this month was shortly in the Netherlands. Kevin Ryan is the global content director for Search Engine Strategies (SES) and Search Engine Watch. In that role Ryan is responsible for organising the various Search Engine Strategies seminars and the contents of the Web site Search Engine Watch.
Joost de Valk talked to him. The first interview is now on DC!

I encourage everyone to follow this series. You get it a good picture of the current searchworld. And a final note: that great header was created by Roy Huiskes of OnetoMarket. Can you recognize me? ;)

Dutch Bloggies interview

Zie hieronder het resultaat.[/lang_nl][lang_en]Last week in The Hague the Dutch Bloggies were awarded. As one of the active bloggers on Dutch Cowboys I attended the "Oscars for Dutch weblogs’.

Dutch Cowboys was nominated for two bloggies, but didn’t win one of them. Still it was a very good night on which you could get inspiration from winners, but even more from the people who attended.

During the bloggiesPatrick Petersen from Dutch Cowboys pulled me in front of a camera to shre my experience of that night. See below the result.[/lang_en]

Search Engine StrategiesThe Search Engine Strategies were already two weeks ago. Up to now I stil have had, in addition to the reports on Dutch Cowboys, no time for them to write. I will try later on to give an overview of my findings in London and do a posting about articles concerning the SES. This I will also be on Dutch Cowboys.

Here, in any case at least three videos of Greg Jarboe of Search Engine Watch. It gives a quick overview of the Strategies. Continue Reading »
