Public Speaking Course

Imagine you, or one of the people in your agency is speaking at a big industry event. After your talk, people stand up. They cheer and they come up to you. They all feel the talk made a big impact on them. They want to change the way they work. And they want YOU to help them.

Suddenly, your business is getting a lot of new business from events!

Make this happen NOW

In the last decade, I have been travelling the world speaking on different stages, keynoting several events. During that time I’ve seen many different speakers. I can tell you that unfortunately, the above scenario doesn’t happen often.

In fact, most businesses hardly get any new clients or new leads from speaking at events.

The interaction and attention for many talks are low. Hardly ever speakers from agencies get asked back because they made a big impact. If they get asked back, it’s often because of sponsorship reasons.

This means as an agency with speakers at an event, you are probably losing a lot of money. People are spending time and effort and money on preparing their presentations and being at events. You fail to make an actual return on investment.

The reason this happens is that the quality of speaking isn’t where it could be. The talks are not engaging enough. They don’t grab the attention of the audience. They are one of many and do not stand out.

The speakers work hard. But they lack the experience. They miss the finesse of the professional speaker. Simply because that is not their main job.

And what about all those pitches that fail?

The same happens when pitching. You may have the best product, the best price, the best ROI, the best service. Most pitches are decided on the delivery of the presentation. If the presentation for the pitch isn’t delivered well, you lose the pitch.

This happens all too often. For one simple reason: the people presenting aren’t ready for the job.

There is a solution!

People within your organisation, including yourself,  can start getting more leads at events, getting more attention and interaction on the talks. It is possible: start making your money of talks instead of losing money on it.

By getting your staff (or yourself) better prepared for a presentation. Not just helping them make a nice slide deck, but helping them to become a better speaker. By training them.

As a business, you should make sure your staff is trained and prepared for speaking.

Or are you willing to keep losing money on speaking opportunities?

As a business, you can either continue down the path of least resistance, the path you have always been traveling, or you can choose the road less traveled. The path of least resistance will probably result in you getting the same outcomes of events you’ve always received: too little ROI.

But if you want something different to happen, if you want to change the results your business gets from events, you’re going to have to do something different. Make a new choice, and pursue your new outcome.

But that takes time!

I can hear you think: “But wait a minute. Getting my staff prepared? That takes up a lot of time! And time is money! And I don’t want to spend that time and money myself!”

That is so very true! We all know how it works. If you are part of running the company, as a manager, CMO, CEO, founder or owner, for example, so many other things are important as well. And as much as you want to help your staff prepare, you can’t always do that. Because after all, you do realize the importance of speaking for your business, other things do need attention.

That’s why you should get your staff trained and capable of helping out each other. Which frees up more of your time!

You will be confident to send your staff to events or pitches, because you know they can deliver.

I’ve got just the thing to help you!

In the past ten years, I’ve been speaking  around the world. From the before mentioned SMX and Brighton SEO to stages in Iran, New York, Las Vegas, Istanbul and much more. You can see some of my talks here (you can skip through the talks):

Now I want to share my experience with you and your staff.

To help you and your staff make money from speaking

by becoming better speakers who do get leads.

I’ve just developed a training course for speakers. Building on my experience as a speaker and trainer, I’ve developed a workshop. A workshop for businesses in which (depending on the size of the group) in one or two days, everyone can become a better speaker. One that actually engages and gets leads.

Why should you attend this course?

This course is specifically developed for those that want to excel in speaking and benefit from it business wise.

The approach

As a digital marketer myself, I understand the importance of delivering a talk in the right way. This means you have to look at the strengths of the speaker. My approach is not to try and change the person, but to try and make them excel. Find their qualities and build on that. Help them develop their own style of speaking.

In the course, the group is deliberately kept small to make sure each speaker gets individual attention. At the same time, when in a group, the students help each other become better speakers.

The workshop focuses on getting and keeping the attention and engagement of the audience and making them follow up. As a result, your staff will not only be better speakers at events but at pitches as well. Knowing how to engage those they are targeting and making sure they are remembered.
